Hudson River Park is $600 million public improvement project along the western shore of Manhattan. In addition to teaching school groups fishing and ecology, I was heavily involved in the Park's website relaunch. My concept for the online park map was based on existing print materials and Paul McCartney's observation that Hudson River Park 'needs a monorail'.

As a freelance flash and php developer I worked for several design companies to develop projects for Audemars Piguet, abc.com, Nestle Tollhouse, Estée Lauder, and Wines of Germany. For the Wines of Germany app I worked in house at Special Ops Media in DUMBO. The app (displayed above) allowed users to match their favorite wines and foods. The wines were then placed in the context of their region of origin in Germany.

I freelanced at Showtime Networks for two years as a "monkey wrench" developer. This involved extensive site maintenance - modifying games and facebook interfaces, writing analytics plug-ins, fixing video and sounds plugins, as well as creating promotional pieces for shows. I worked in tandem with the Director of Technology at Showtime and communicated with the designers to maintain consistent branding.

Working closely with Showtime's in-house design firm, The Red Group, I animated a series of ads for the 2012 Emmy Awards. Included in the ad campaign were 'Homeland' (shown), 'The Borgias' (shown), 'Californication', 'Dexter', 'Weeds', 'The Big C', 'House of Lies' and 'Shameless'. This project required meticulous craft and attention to detail. 'Homeland' won six Emmys including Best Drama and Best Actress.

Telecommuting with two Swedish developers throughout the months leading up to the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election, I helped build an application which aggregated social media sources. Tube the Vote incorporated the youtube API, as well as the then-nascent twitter, and casual games. The application admin was then given to journalism students throughout the United States to harness the power of "citizen journalism".
